TRUBOND F 401
TRUBOND F 401 is a solvent-based digital glue specifically developed for ceramic production.
It is a polymer-in-solvent formulation that makes the product particularly suitable for the creation of decorative effects.
The presence of a ceramic flux in the formulation lowers the melting point of glazes and grits, thereby accelerating the sintering process.
When applied using inkjet printheads, the digital glue can be absorbed very quickly by the ceramic substrate, depending on production conditions.
To optimize the bonding performance, it is recommended to increase the discharge amount so that the adhesive reaches the gritting station while still wet.
Typically, TRUBOND F401 is integrated into the production line as follows:
1. Application of engobe/glaze
2. If needed, application of a primer (such as DIGICER PRIMER 007 or DIGICER PRIMER 008)
3. Digital decoration, with the addition of TRUBOND F401 in the last print bar, or alternatively in the last two print bars
4. Immediately after digital printing, application of powders or grits using traditional application machines
5. Vacuum removal and subsequent elimination of excess grit
