Metabolites are substances produced by bacteria: they are basically the waste of bacteria's nutrition of the organic matter that is in the ceramic semi-finished products.

They are able to totally or partially affect the rheological features of suspensions, compromising their proper application.

Metabolites are therefore responsible, together with other aspects, for different kind of defects.

In application:

– improper leveling of the suspension

– sedimentation phenomena

– foaming phenomena

– bad odors, etc
