Atomisation
In the ceramic industry, the atomisation process removes the water content from the ceramic mixture before the pressing phase.
The process is developed by means of spray dryers (Atomizers) and it leads to the formation of granules (hollow spheres) whose size is about 500 micron. After the process, the water-content (the residual humidity) is about 5-7%.
The tiny hollow spheres are now ready to be pressed and to form the green raw tile.
