Zschimmer & Schwarz at Ceramitec 2026: an international perspective on today’s and tomorrow’s ceramics

From March 24 to 26, a new edition of Ceramitec took place in Munich, one of the leading international trade fairs dedicated to the ceramics industry. The event serves as a global meeting point for companies, professionals, and innovators, offering a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies, materials, and applications shaping the sector.
The exhibition spans the entire industry landscape—from traditional ceramics and refractories to raw materials and processing technologies, all the way to technical ceramics and powder metallurgy. In this context, it becomes clear that “ceramics” goes far beyond tiles, encompassing high-performance materials used in highly advanced technological fields.

Technical ceramics, for instance, are widely used in areas such as aerospace (components resistant to extreme temperatures), electronics (advanced substrates and insulators), medical applications (bioceramics for implants), and the energy sector. These materials are engineered to deliver strength, stability, and reliability under demanding conditions, supporting the development of increasingly sophisticated technologies.

Within this framework, Zschimmer & Schwarz took part in the exhibition with an international team representing several group locations. Bringing together colleagues from different cultural and geographical backgrounds proved to be a real asset, enabling a natural exchange of perspectives and experiences that enriches interactions with customers and partners.
For Zschimmer & Schwarz Ceramco, the Sassuolo-based site with strong roots in the tile industry, ceramitec also provided an opportunity to highlight the breadth of its activities. Alongside its core focus on ceramic surfaces, the local organization operates within a broader and more diverse landscape, covering applications ranging from sanitary ware and tableware to refractories and advanced technical ceramics.

Once again, Ceramitec confirmed its role not only as a showcase for innovation, but also as a platform for dialogue around the key drivers shaping the industry: quality, process reliability, and the development of increasingly targeted solutions in a constantly evolving industrial environment.
The participation of the Zschimmer & Schwarz team offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones, while keeping a forward-looking perspective on the many directions in which the ceramics world is evolving.
