Polishield AP is an acid-based formulation specifically developed as a preliminary treatment for polished or lapped tile surfaces, prior to the application of Polishield products designed to seal the material’s surface porosity.

The product delivers a controlled etching action that effectively removes residues left by the polishing process while creating calibrated micro-roughness on the surface. These microstructures are essential to ensure maximum adhesion and effectiveness of the subsequent Polishield treatments, ultimately enhancing final performance in terms of protection and resistance.
Polishield AP should be applied undiluted directly onto the surface, typically using a rotary roller. The required dosage will vary depending on the type of ceramic product being treated and the specific configuration of the application line.
