In ceramics, color management software is not used to edit images but rather to support their transfer from one color space to another, enabling reproducible color rendering. It is essentially used to standardize workflows and improve the quality of print files.<\/p>

The behavior of organic pigments of digital inks for paper printing is generally linear, making them easier to manage compared to the inorganic pigments used in ceramics, which are inherently more unstable. Consequently, software solutions designed for paper printing cannot be used in this context.<\/p>

The so-called ICC profiles \u2013 a set of data describing how colors are numerically represented in a specific color space according to rules and standards set by the ICC (International Color Consortium) \u2013 ensure the rendering process from the initial model to the final reproduction. These profiles are generated at the start of the work and serve as its foundation. Even assuming that 80,000 colors can be achieved within the process, not all can be defined through actual measurements. This means that the more color fields included in a chart, the more precise the description of the color space will be.<\/p>

As a general rule, it is advisable to plan for 500 measurement fields for each color; this would result in 2,000 fields within a color mix to describe the color space of a four-color process print. Collecting this quantity of color measurement data is used to achieve an ideal balance between the real (measured) value and the calculated one.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
