The casues and origin of gelling phenomena that take place in the storage tanks, usually have to be found in the previous grinding phase. If we exclude mistake in the formula or critical issues related to the production equipment, the problem is usually due to a change in the features of process water or, more rarely, to some inorganic raw materials marked by non-standard quality features.<\/p>
Most effective actions that can be taken to solve the problem:<\/p>
a) Add to the slurry a proper DISPERSANT AGENT to restore the flow limit and\/or reduce the viscosity, providing the slurry with a higher fluidity<\/p>
b) Increase the amount of process water used in the grinding phase to reduce the viscosity and the flow limit values, therefore facilitating the sieving process.<\/p>
c) If the problem is due to the nature and\/or the features of process waters, a careful analysis of all values is recommended.
