Chemical-physical treatment for the waste water of the ceramic production process able to purify and recover the water in the production cycle.<\/p>
Water clarification, that provide the water with the proper features, is very complex but, to simplify and put it shortly, we can identify three important steps:<\/p>
1. Flocculation process<\/p>
2. Decanting process<\/p>
3. Filter-pressing process<\/p>
The process consists mainly in the precipitation of non-settling suspended substances (and, if present in solution, also sedimentable substances) that during this process gradually form larger and havier aggregates (FLOCCULATION) to form a precipitate that sinks to the bottom of the container or tank used in the process (DECANTATION).<\/p>
Water clarification allows the precipitation process of non-settling colloidal suspended solids that are difficult to remove by means of a simple physical treatment because of their very slow sedimentation that would require large size settlers or a longer stay inside the settler. With the water clarification, it is possible to separate, by a precipitation process, almost all the particles that cause the turbidity of the water.<\/p>
The third and final step (FILTER-PRESSING) involves the removal of the sedimented material through a complex technological system that purifies the water from the accumulated residues.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
